XBOX 720 To Be 6 Times More Powerful

Certain video game media websites such as IGN and Kotaku claim to have inside scoops when it comes to news and information concerning the XBOX 720.  IGN posted this on their website the other day:

“Our sources have confirmed that mass production of the system’s GPU will indeed begin by the end of 2012 but will not, however, be based on AMD’s 7000 series Southern Islands GPU. Instead, the processor will be derived from the 6000 series, which was introduced last year. More specifically, it will be akin to the Radeon HD 6670, which offers support for DirectX11, multidisplay output, 3D and 1080p HD output.”

This type of system would account for an increase in power of 600%.  Again at this point it is still a rumor but it is one of the more believable ones that is floating around out there.

xbox 720 console release date

The much anticipated XBOX 720 is rumored to be coming out as early as fall 2013 and as late as 2015.  There is still no confirmed information about the exact release date or what we can expect in the console.  Microsoft’s XBOX 720 is supposed to be smaller, cheaper, and more powerful than it’s predecessor the XBOX 360.  There are rumors that the first news on the much anticipated console will come out at CES 2012.  When the first confirmed news on the XBOX 720 release date comes out, we will pass it along to you.
